The new school year will begin for students on Tuesday, September 8, , and will end for students on Friday, June 18, CCSD will not make any changes to the academic calendar to end the school year early. District leaders addressed this matter at last week's Board of Trustees' meeting, including plans to gather stakeholders' input. Feedback from discussions with teachers, parents, and principals last week led CCSD administration to conclude that rearranging the remaining school year calendar to accommodate an earlier end date would not be worth the disruption caused by rescheduling.

This calendar is phenomenal! It prevents students, teachers and parents from getting so completely Burned out and it increases retention by not having such a long summer break between class years! You can take family trips throughout the year and see family besides summer. I am a Mother that works outside the home and I have to work around the breaks but as we all know school is not daycare. There are more positives than negatives in my opinion!
