I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The technology is really quite something.. I do hope my son will forgive me, as I quite like the sound of some of these rides…! Haha I can so relate I find theme parks terribly overwhelming! At least you can say you went to Disneyland Paris! I had heard of Epcot but I had never read anything about it before.

In fact, there are a few rides here that must-sees for any Disney vacation. Some may be long-time favorites, while others are relatively recent arrivals.
And soon enough, even more rides will be added. So, count on these to have some of the longest lines in the park. Overall, our 1-day plan will have you hitting most, if not all, of the rides and then whatever mix of other attractions and shows you would like to see.
Should the crowds start to get long during the day or if you start to get overwhelmed, just take a deep breath and keep following the plan. This first plan is meant for groups without any height restrictions, meaning guests who can go on any ride.
As with our other one-day plans, you must arrive at the park one hour early. This gives you a jump on the rest of the crowd and helps you stay there the rest of the day. Additionally, it lets you capitalize on the recent trend of Disney letting people into the parks 45 minutes to an hour before park open.
For anyone who has never been to a rope drop at Walt Disney World, that is a massive head start. That bus ride will cost you about 30 extra minutes due to traffic and stops. So, you might as well drive your own card or take an Uber or a Lyft instead and get there the full hour ahead of time.
It is important to note here that Epcot actually has two entrances: the main entrance that opens into Future World and the rear entrance known as International Gateway. This last entrance is mostly for guests staying at one of the Epcot-area resorts specifically the Yacht or Beach Clubs or the Boardwalk Inn and opens into World Showcase. Each of the pavilions represents architecture of their respective countries. They also typically have restaurants, bakeries, stores, entertainment, and a couple have rides. This is an area which is a lot different now than it used to be. In days of old, some of the musicians used to roam around Epcot, entertaining the masses. However, Disney has adapted to this somewhat. While there are no character meet n greets, you can spontaneously find characters throughout Epcot.
You might find Winnie the Pooh catching butterflies or Joy spreading her sunny cheer. Usually, each festival either has a concert series or Candlelight Processional. A major concern that most people have is that Epcot is not a good park for kids. The main issue seems to be when adults want to spend time eating and drinking in World Showcase while kids get bored. But Disney is pretty smart.
They make a lot of money on food and drink sales in World Showcase, so they want both kids and parents happy to stay there. Kids can collect activity cards from each Kidcot station while engaging in an activity and learning about the cultures of different countries. Each Epcot festival has at least one scavenger hunt for kids and adults to participate in. Character cavalcades are a new edition ever since the reopening. The character cavalcades in Epcot only happen in World Showcase.
They happen spontaneously throughout the day, so you never know when one will go by. But there are some things I want you to think about first. The answers to these questions will help shape your itinerary. Your going to take the answers to these questions, and use them to adjust the amount of time you spend at each step of your Epcot touring plan. In order to get on rides with lower lines, or break up long stretches in World Showcase, you have to zig-zag the park.
Regardless of what your overall plan is for Epcot, the first thing you should do it head for a ride. But to determine which ride, there are a couple of factors I want you to consider while answering this question.
